Kurzfassung und Anmeldung


Innovations and valuable problem solutions unite three essen- tial components: technical feasibility, economic reasonableness and human desirability. Design Thinking ap- proaches problems from a human perspective. The aim is to create innovative and desirable products, services and experi- ences that consider all relevant aspects.

Three important factors lead to the success of Design Thinking: the collaboration of teams that are multidisciplinary and able to decide, flexible workspaces for collaborative work and a work- flow related to Design Thinking.

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Weinberg, Head of the School of Design Think- ing at Hasso Plattner Institute, Potsdam, outlines Design Thinking as a creative process and method of innovation for products and services. The aim is enabling new and surprising ways of creative collaboration.

Afterwards, Thorsten Jankowski will provide an insight into how the Volkswagen Group integrates design methods in the com- pany. He will give an overview of pitfalls and best practice examples. Thorsten Jankowski works as a consultant for digital processes and tools and engages with design methods, espe- cially the user experience within the Volkswagen Group.
